Shipping Policy

At Ceylon Gem, we are committed to ensuring that your precious gemstones reach you safely, securely, and as quickly as possible. Please read our shipping policy below to understand how we process and deliver your orders.

1. Order Processing Time

  • All orders are processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days after receiving full payment.
  • If your order requires a new gemological certificate or custom cutting/setting, processing time may be extended. We will notify you of any such delays.
  • Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or Sri Lankan public holidays.

2. Domestic Shipping (Within Sri Lanka)

We offer fast and secure delivery within Sri Lanka using trusted local courier services.

  • Estimated Delivery Time: 1 to 3 business days.
  • All domestic shipments are fully insured and require a signature upon delivery for your security.

3. International Shipping

We proudly ship our authentic Ceylon gemstones worldwide.

  • We use reliable international express couriers such as FedEx, DHL, or EMS to ensure the safe transit of high-value items.
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 5 to 10 business days, depending on the destination country.
  • Shipping rates will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

4. Tracking and Insurance

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email containing your tracking number(s).

  • The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
  • Every shipment is fully insured by Ceylon Gem while in transit.
  • For security reasons, a signature is mandatory upon delivery. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.

5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes (International Orders)

Ceylon Gem is not responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees applied to your order once it reaches your destination country.

  • All fees imposed during or after shipping are the sole responsibility of the customer (the importer).
  • Please familiarize yourself with your local customs regulations and gemstone import rules before placing an order.

6. Lost or Damaged Packages

We take the utmost care in packaging our gemstones securely. However, if your package arrives damaged, please refuse the delivery or contact us immediately. In the rare event that a package is lost in transit, we will work closely with the courier to resolve the issue and file an insurance claim.
