Return and Refund Policy

At Ceylon Gem, we want you to be completely satisfied with your gemstone purchase. If for any reason you are not entirely happy with your order, we offer a transparent and straightforward return and refund process.

1. Return Window

We accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date. If 14 days have passed since your item was delivered, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your gemstone or jewelry piece must meet the following conditions:

  • It must be unused, unaltered, and in the exact same condition that you received it.
  • It must be returned in its original packaging.
  • All original gemological certificates, grading reports, and appraisals included with the purchase must be returned intact. (A replacement fee may apply if certificates are missing or damaged).

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are exempt from being returned:

  • Custom-made or personalized jewelry.
  • Gemstones that have been set, recut, scratched, or altered in any way by another jeweler after delivery.
  • Items purchased on final clearance or marked as “Non-Returnable.”

4. How to Initiate a Return

  • Contact Us: Please email us at info@ceylonigem.com or contact us via WhatsApp at 0778131141 before sending any item back. State your order number and the reason for the return.
  • Approval: Once we approve your return request, we will provide you with the shipping address and instructions.
  • Shipping: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Because gemstones are high-value items, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

5. Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected by our gemologists to verify its condition and authenticity, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5 to 10 business days. Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable.
